aftercare
With fine line tattoos, healing is part of the artistry. Careful aftercare protects delicate detail, supports smooth healing and helps your tattoo settle as clean and crisp as intended.

Cleansing & Water Exposure
Cleanse your tattoo gently once per day and avoid allowing it to become soaked for the first 10 days. This means no baths, long showers or submerging the area, and swimming should be avoided completely for at least 2 weeks. Keeping the tattoo clean but not over-exposed to water helps support smooth healing and protects the delicate detail.
Sun Protection & Longevity
Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight and sunbeds for a minimum of 4 weeks while it is healing. Once fully healed, applying SPF to the area will help preserve the clarity and longevity of the tattoo over time. Sun exposure can cause premature fading, especially with fine line work.

Moisturising & Dressing Care
Apply a recommended healing balm 2–3 times per day for around 10 days to keep the skin lightly moisturised. If second skin has been applied, remove this after 3 days. If cling film was used instead, this should be removed after 24 hours. Following these timelines helps the skin breathe while still supporting the healing process.
Activity, Healing & Touch Ups
Light exercise is generally fine, but heavy sweating, friction or pressure on the tattooed area should be avoided during early healing. It is also important not to rub, pick or scratch the tattoo — if itching occurs, simply apply more cream. Touch-ups can sometimes be needed, and if required these can be booked between 3–12 weeks after your initial appointment.
